We're In This Together...

We want you to know that we are eager to return to our school and continue teaching, learning and growing with our ELS family. As we learn what our "new normal" will be for the future, please know that we have each of you on our minds and hearts every day. We miss you!

To our front-line workers, we say "Thank You" for everything you are doing for our communities. May you continue to walk with grace and in love.

To the rest of you, we hope you are protecting yourselves by wearing your face masks and gloves and washing your hands. Please make sure to wash the children's hands twice as much and yes, face masks on them, too! Please watch them closely. Stay safe. Stay informed. Stay healthy.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have been training during this time and learning how to keep your children safe, for when we are given the okay to reopen. It won't be too much longer. Please take care of yourselves and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Here at Early Learning Scholars, we learn valuable skills, as adults, to learn how to teach our children at home. We learn about life skills like coping during difficult times and celebrating when things go right. We are building extended family relationships.

Thinking is the hardest work any one can do --

which is probably the reason why we have so few thinkers

The Minority-Majority

We find it interesting that CNN discusses the term cited by demographers --  "minority-majority." No one single racial or ethnic group will make up more than half of the population. Those radical lines are being erased and one day we will just be the contributing members of our society\community. Wow, what a novel idea!

It takes a village to raise a child.

We believe that children are raised not just by their parents, but also by all of the other people in the society around them. The neighbors, families, schools, businesses and local governments have an obligation to consider their impact on children that they affect everyday.
